Director's Lunch With Brigitte Berman

Oscar and Academy Award-winning producer/director/writer Brigitte Berman joins us to discuss her prolific career, including her recent feature documentary film The River of My Dreams: A Portrait of Gordon Pinsent. With over 20 years of experience working in the film and television industry, Berman has produced and directed more than 100 documentaries, including Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel, Robert Bateman: A Celebration of Nature and The Osbornes: A Very Special Family. Berman is a graduate of Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where she studied English and Film, as well as an alumni of the Canadian Film Centre’s  resident in writing and directing program.

Brigitte Berman is an Academy Award®-winning producer, director and writer who has produced/directed over two hundred documentaries. With her production company, Bridge Film Productions Inc., she directed/produced two feature documentaries ‘ARTIE SHAW: Time Is All You’ve Got’ and ‘BIX: “ain’t none of them play like him yet”’. The former won the Oscar for Best Feature Documentary. Berman’s award winning ‘Hugh Hefner: Playboy, Activist and Rebel’ documentary has been shown at over twenty-five International Film Festivals. She is also in production on ‘Playboy After Dark’ TV and in development on the feature documentary ‘Red Soul’.
