You have all been sent individual invites outlining your Sponsor benefits and ticket RSVPs. Below is some important info to help you make the most of your Festival experience. Bookmark this page for easy reference. If travelling from out of town, check out our Getting Here page for tips and advice.


Registration

Unless we’ve arranged otherwise with you, all Sponsors and Delegates must register at Festival Headquarters at the LSPU Hall.

Delegate bags, which include your Festival Passes (needed for all events and to obtain tickets), will be waiting for you at this location. Festival HQ is also your source for program guides, WiFi, schedules, free coffee, and merchandise.

We have extended our registration hours for Sponsors-only!
 
Registration Hours:
October 17-19: 10:00am - 4:00pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm
October 20: 12:00pm - 4:00pm, 6:00pm-9:00pm
October 21: 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Opening & Closing Night

As per your emailed invitation, we may have offered you tickets to the following signature events. Both Opening & Closing are general seating, and you may chose to sit in either Cinema 10, 11 or 12. Please refer to your email for confirmation and number of tickets:

ExxonMobil Opening Night Gala including VIP Red Carpet Reception** and Fog City after-party:

  • Red carpet reception starts at 6pm sharp. Seated in theatre by 6:45pm, film screening to start 7pm.

**Red carpet reception is held outside of Cinema 10 and is by Invitation only. Guest list in effect. Each ticket admits one. Physical ticket must be presented. Complimentary wine (19+), hor d'oeuvres and red carpet with photo opportunities.

When you pick up your Opening Night Ticket, bring this to our reception area near Cinema 10 for entry. No ticket is required for the after-event party at Fog City.


Emera NL Closing Night Gala including Festival Wrap Party

  • No ticket is required for the Wrap Party. Please feel free to bring friends. Music and snacks provided. Cash Bar. Enjoy the gorgeous view of the harbour at night!


IMPORTANT NOTE:
For both the ExxonMobil Opening Night Gala and the Emera NL Closing Night Gala all Sponsor Tickets are only available for pickup at the SJIWFF Box Office table outside Scotiabank Theatres (across from Fog City Bar entrance) on the day of the event starting 5:30pm on October 17 and 6pm on October 21.

Any tickets not picked up by 6:45pm will be released to the public for sale.

Opening is sold out and Closing may be as well. We often have complimentary tickets reserved but unclaimed on the day, which results in empty seats and disappointed paying patrons who are turned away. Because of this, we have implemented a rush line. It is crucial for you to pick up your tickets by the deadline noted above to avoid disappointment! Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.

During Festival week our limited staff will not be in the office and may be more difficult to reach on Opening/Closing as we will be on the ground hosting the event.

Festival Pass

As part of your sponsorship package, you may have been offered a Festival Pass. Festival Passes include all regular film screenings at the LSPU Hall and The Rooms, as well as all Forum events at NIFCO. Passes are non-transferable, and must have your name written on it. You may also purchase these passes from the LSPU Hall.

Festival Passes DO NOT include admission to the Opening and Closing Night Galas, the MUN Cinema screening or the Forum Lunch Panels at Rocket Bakery. These must be purchased separately.

There will be absolutely no latecomers for all screenings. Please show up early.


HOW TO USE YOUR PASS TO GET SCREENING TICKETS

To obtain a ticket for any SJIWFF screening or event, present your Festival Pass at the appropriate box office. The Festival Pass is not a screening ticket and does not guarantee ticket availability. As screening tickets are limited, please show up early the day of screening to obtain your printed ticket from the LSPU Hall Box Office. Tickets may be reserved in advance through the LSPU Hall Box Office by phone or in-person. There will be absolutely no latecomers for our screenings.

Did a screening sell out before you were able to reserve tickets?

In the event of a sold-out screening at the LSPU Hall, any unclaimed complimentary tickets will be released a half hour prior to showtime to the rush line. Festival Passes are valid to claim rush line tickets for free. First come, first served. 


HOW TO USE YOUR FESTIVAL PASS TO GET FORUM TICKETS

A Festival Pass acts as a ticket to all regular [Interactive] Film Industry Forum events at NIFCO, subject to capacity. Present Pass at the door for entry or reserve via the LSPU Hall Box Office.


HOW TO GET TICKETS FOR FORUM LUNCH PANELS
Forum Lunch Panels at Rocket Bakery are NOT included in your Festival Pass and must be purchased separately through the LSPU Hall Box office.
