JILL KNOX GOSSE – PRODUCER
Jill Knox-Gosse lives in Newfoundland and started her producing career in 2006. Her producing partner for Wreckhouse Productions is Lynne Wilson. Knox-Gosse’s latest feature An Audience of Chairs received the Gordon Parsons Award for Best Atlantic Feature (2018) at the FIN International Atlantic Film Festival. At the festival, the movie also received awards for Best Director, Best Screenwriter and Best Musical Score. Knox-Gosse produced the acclaimed documentary Atlantic (2016) which was nominated for the Best Feature Documentary at the Irish Film and Television Awards. She produced the comedic feature Relative Happiness (2014) which received the award for Best Actress at the LA Comedy Festival, Best Picture at the Screen Nova Scotia and Best Actress at the Canadian Film Festival. Relative Happiness was also a hit with audiences across Canada hitting the Top Five Canadian Film at the Box Office, and the movie has been sold in several territories including Australia, Spain, China, South Korea, Turkey and the Philippines and continues to find audiences around the world. Knox-Gosse produced the award-winning feature film Grown Up Movie Star (2009) with Paul Pope of Pope Productions. The movie stars internationally renowned actor Tatiana Maslany. The film was the 2010 Official Selection and Winner of a Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival. Grown Up Movie Star also received three Genie Nominations. Notable credits also include having produced CBC’s The Nature of Things documentary White Wolves, Ghost of the North, narrated by David Suzuki. Knox-Gosse is currently in development on numerous projects including Atlantic First Flight with Cork’s M3 TV Productions. She is also a member of the Newfoundland Independent Filmmakers Cooperative (NIFCO), and the Producers Association of Newfoundland (PAN) and the Canadian Film and Television Producers Association (CMPA).
LYNNE WILSON - PRODUCER
Lynne Wilson, co-founder of Wreckhouse Productions with Jill Knox-Goose, produces feature film and documentaries in Canada and Australia. Her award-winning features include the Australian comedy The BBQ (2018) which was a hit with Australian audiences. The film, distributed by Madman and Label, is represented internationally by Cinema Management Group. Her latest feature An Audience of Chairs received the Gordon Parsons Award for Best Atlantic Feature (2018) at the FIN International Atlantic Film Festival. At the festival, the movie also received awards for Best Director, Best Screenwriter and Best Musical Score.
