Join us in celebrating the 35th annual edition of the St. John's International Women's Film Festival from October 22-26, 2024. Festival week will include captivating short and feature-length films spanning all genres, written or directed by women and gender-diverse artists worldwide.

We are a non-competitive, filmmaker-focused festival. Fair compensation for artists is a fundamental principle of the Festival. Our commitment to quality exhibitions, community-centered screenings, and stellar industry events helps us strive to offer the best experience for filmmakers and audiences alike.

SJIWFF is a Canadian Screen Awards qualifying Festival, and is now open for film submissions exclusively via FilmFreeway.
